Zirconia material has been widely used for restoration for decades already, however there are some questions that started to sprout this year – can Zirconia be bonded?
To tell you honestly, here in our practice we have been using it for more than 5 years already, and it has worked ever since. We started using it only for crowns and bridges, but after a few years, used it as well for veneers.

Our own very Dr. Jonas Apostol is always researching, studying and doing practical works in the clinic everyday so he knows that it can be bonded!
However, did you know that there has been 21 years of study on this subject matter? Last November 2022, Dr. Apostol has had a chance to ask the author of Resin – Bonded Fixed Dental Prostheses during his master’s course at Goethe University, Frankfurt, Germany – Dr. Matthias Kern.
Again, can zirconia be bonded? The answer is YES!
